FAQ's
Do I have to be a sportsperson to go to Sportscare?

No. Sportscare provides effective injury management for all members of the community.

How much does it cost?

An initial consultation is $75 and follow up visits cost $65.

Concession fees of $65 for initial and $55 for follow up are offered to Centrelink card holders.

Health Insurance rebates are available with convenient on-the-spot claiming. Massages are $70 for 1 hour or $45 for ½ hour.

Do I need a referral?

Patients who claim against WorkCover, CTP Insurance or DVA have their accounts billed directly to these organisations, and therefore require a Doctor’s referral for Physiotherapy. Everyone else is welcome to arrange their appointment without a referral.

What can be treated at Sportscare?

Sportscare physiotherapists offer effective management of a wide range of conditions, including sports or work related injuries, chronic musculoskeletal pain and women’s health.

Sportscare physiotherapists are skilled in treating all regions of the body - limb and spinal, including headaches.

What treatment will I receive?

At Sportscare, thorough assessment of an individual’s history and presenting problem(s), ensures that a treatment program is devised with emphasis placed on enabling the individual to maintain and improve their physical well being.

Immediately following an injury, exercises are directed at pain relief, hastening recovery and preventing further damage to injured tissues. From here, the program progresses to include flexibility and strengthening work.

Other techniques such as manual therapy, electrotherapy and strapping are also used as required.

Can I be seen after hours?

At Sportscare, we understand that our clients are busy people, and that is why we offer physiotherapy and massage services on a Saturday.

Our regular clinic hours are from 8:30am – 6pm Monday to Fridays. Saturday appointments are available from 8.30am. Some appointment times may be available outside of these hours, at the discretion of your Sportscare physiotherapist.

Bookings are essential - please call our friendly receptionists, who can assist with any queries and assist you with appointments.
